Inspired by Salvatore’s daughter, Fiamma, who held the reins of the fashion house’s branch of shoes and accessories for almost 40 years, Ferragamo’s latest handbag collection is a true family affair. Embracing multiple generations of women, the bag speaks of elegance for everyone, and is evocative of family heirlooms that you pass down from grandmother to daughter to grandchild, building a rich history in the pockets and weaving a story into the leather as it wears.
To celebrate the release of the range today, Ferragamo has launched a short film comprised of small vignettes within which a slew of famous mothers and daughters from different cities all around the world are interviewed. Including Stella, Lola, and Jacqueline Schnabel of New York, and Mariel Hemingway and Langley Fox, pictured above, the film is testament to the legacy of Fiamma who built the Ferragamo brand from a small artisanal Italian shoemaker to the international luxury powerhouse that it stands as today.
